    Cambria Season 2: The Paymasters

Cambria  is expanding its presence to the Abstract Chain

After an epic first season that ushered in a new era for blockchain MMORPGs, Cambria returns with groundbreaking improvements and unforgettable events. If you’re a fan of medieval worlds, strategy, and rewards, this is your chance to be a part of something big.

Cambria is expanding its presence to the Abstract Chain, adding it as a supported blockchain alongside Ronin and Blast. This move comes ahead of the game’s highly anticipated Season 2 release, making Abstract Chain the third blockchain network to be integrated into the game. The expansion aims to increase the game’s accessibility, allowing more players within the web3 community to join the experience.

    What’s new in Cambria?

In Season 2: The Paymasters, a new class emerges — ruthless financiers known as Paymasters, who shape the battlefield not through strength of arms, but through dominance of the economy.

Rather than risking their own blood in the New World, Paymasters buy and deposit Royal Charters into the Syndicate Vault, gaining passive control over the spoils extracted by active adventurers. While others fight and die for Artifacts, Curios, and Coin, Paymasters let their money do the bleeding.

The guild system has also received improvements. Viceroys are guild leaders who command powerful guilds of adventurers, mercenaries, and gatherers. These Old World aristocrats don’t dirty their own hands — they fund, manipulate, and control. By supplying Charters, Energy, and critical gear, Viceroys compete for dominance over the Royal Favor Leaderboards and fight proxy wars through their guilds.

    PvE and PvP Improvements

Season 2 balances the PvE and PvP gameplay experiences, appealing to both casual and competitive players. With new gathering and combat activities, as well as improved experience (XP) systems, the game will be more inclusive and challenging. Your playstyle is your own choice.

    Rewards

In Season 2, players directly split the USDC main prize pool at the end of the season, ON TOP of a variety of other rewards, airdrops, and other incentives.

All of the ETH / RON spent on the game (with a few exceptions, see below) funds the Main Prize Pool. The more people join the Season and actively play, the bigger this prize pool grows. The value inside this pool backs the ingame economy of Coins (can be traded ingame), and is split at the end of the season based mostly on Coins held via the Cashout system:

    • 90%Coins Held (min 10+ USDC cashout)
    • 5% – Critical Bug Bounty rewards
    • 5% – Content Creators / Referrals rewards

There is no cap to USDC that you can earn from the Main Prize Pool – the richer you are in game, the bigger your split of the final pool. The Season lasts for 14 days.

Opening Bribes, earned passively from Royal Favor

The more you Royal Favor you accumulate, the more Bribes you passively earn.

Bribes are loot crates that can be opened in the game lobby for Trinkets (Cambria airdrop points, an estimated $1m+ will be airdropped for season 2) and Land Raffle Tickets for our upcoming Lands NFT collection.

Players on Abstract will get weekly Abstract XP drops.

    How to Play?

To earn rewards in game, you must first mint at least 1 Royal Charter.

A Royal Charter is a “battle pass” that provides you with a daily regenerating supply of Energy, for free. Energy is required to do most activities that generate coins – killing monsters, extracting resources, etc. Energy drains every few seconds while you are outside the safe zones. Higher tier regions burn more energy. But also have the higher tier monsters and resources with higher reward potential (increased risk = increased rewards).
