The Beacon returns, reopening dungeons and more.
The Beacon returns with a new off-season event that promises to bring us dungeons, a support program, and exciting collaborations. But let’s take it step by step. Currently, the development team is actively working to launch the second phase of testing, which, by the way, will feature new engaging quests, weapons, enemies, power-ups, and zones. They’re inviting us to test the game at this stage.
- First, the dungeons are returning. Starting tomorrow, August 12th, the development team is ready to launch 4 new dungeons, which will be open for 4 days—Monday through Thursday. It’s unclear whether they will all be available at once or one per day. However, considering the 3-week event and the fact that the dungeons will be open from Monday to Thursday, it’s likely that a different dungeon will be open on each of these 4 days. The rewards, as in the regular dungeons, include in-game items, medals, and something else.
- Second, there’s a support program for both players and communities. In collaboration with Games 7 and KGeN, The Beacon developers are launching tasks linked to in-game activities like dungeon clearing, quest completion, and more. All of this is complemented by enticing prize pools in tokens and in-game items.
- Third, The Beacon developers have teamed up with projects like Valhalla Foundation and Smolbound. If you haven’t come across the first one, you’ve probably heard of the second. Smolbound is a farm on a meteorite with interesting dungeons and adventures, backed by solid assets from Treasure_DAO and promising to become a hit on the platform. The collaboration with Valhalla Foundation has added interesting missions to earn points. In Smolbound, owners of WOP, FC, and an NFT pet can earn 7,500 INSPO in the game to climb the rankings.
What to expect after the event?
After this event, the developers promised to launch a tournament—and not just any tournament, but a speedrun event that everyone can participate in.
Regarding the rewards for Phase 1, the developers clarified:
- Arb Tokens will be sent out in mid-August.
- Wings will become available closer to the second phase.
