Splinterlands: Sixth Anniversary
The online collectible card game Splinterlands, built on the Hive blockchain, celebrates its sixth anniversary with a major event and tournament offering grand prizes. From May 23 to 31, players can join the celebration, share memories, and participate in tournaments to win valuable rewards.
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a browser-based card game where players use in-game currency Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) and governance tokens Splintershards (SPS). The game combines deck-building and auto-battler elements. Players create their battle lineups based on match rules and fight until one team wins. At the end of each two-week season, players receive Glint currency, which they can use to purchase cards and other items. The top 50 players of the season also receive DEC rewards.
Recently, Splinterlands introduced land ownership mechanics, allowing players to harvest resources and craft special items. The developers plan to expand these features further in the future.
Event details and prizes
The sixth-anniversary celebration includes a major tournament and community event. Players are encouraged to share their favorite game moments on X (formerly Twitter) with the hashtag #ageofthebattlemage. 120 participants will be chosen to receive 335 Rebellion series booster packs.
The main “Rise of the Champion” tournament will take place on May 31 and will be the largest tournament of 2024.

- 2nd Place: Runi + 4 plots + 500,000 DEC
- 3rd Place: 4 plots + 45,000 DEC
- 4th-10th Places: 1 plot + 20,000 DEC
- 11th-47th Places: 7,000 DEC + 2 Rebellion booster packs
- 48th-61st Places: 4,000 DEC + 1 Rebellion booster pack
- 62nd-138th Places: 1 Rebellion booster pack
