The Machines Arena P2A Season 2 is now live
The Machines Arena P2A Season 2 is now live. Giving anyone the chance to play to airdrop from a prize pool of 22 million $TMA tokens from November 5th to December 3rd. Let’s find out what’s new in this second open beta season of the Ronin-powered top-down hero shooter. And learn more about how you can compete for a bigger share of the token airdrop!
The new season features a couple of adjustments to make it easier to jump in while being more engaging to do so.
To increase player engagement, developer Directive Games has decided to put more focus on the number of matches played during this 4-week season. By increasing rewards for playing matches. The studio aims to reward consistent gameplay while making it the main way of getting a bigger a share of this season’s prize pool. There is now also a cap on party sizes for ranked matches. For this season, only 2 players can set up a party to play through ranked matches together.
Speaking of the prize pool, the 22 million $TMA tokens allocated for reward distribution this season actually represent the remaining 2.2% allocation of tokens that the community can play to airdrop, making this the last chance to scoop up some more tokens before the TGE for $TMA officially takes place.
While VIPs still get a daily login bonus, players no longer need to be VIP to play to airdrop, making it more accessible for everyone to rank up the leaderboard while enjoying an action-packed blockchain gaming experience for free. Teams and scores were also reset before the season started. Repeatable quests have been removed, putting focus on gameplay-related quests instead of win conditions.
Airdrop details
To earn a share of the 22 million $TMA prize pool, you will need to earn points in a number of different ways. Mainly involving gameplay. You will also need to rank among the top 6000 players with the highest number of points on the leaderboard to win a certain percentage of the reward pool.
Qualifying for the leaderboard itself requires you to play at least 20 matches. This entry requirement is simpler compared to the first play 2 airdrop event. Which also required having VIP to be eligible. This season lets players completely focus on gameplay instead, so the more you play throughout these 4 weeks. The better chances you have of ranking among the top players.
You can earn points by logging in daily, playing matches, and completing various quests. Both matches lost and won award you with points. Compared to last season, the amount of points given per match has been increased. Specifically, winning Quick and Ranked matches is now rewarded with 35 and 50 points respectively. While losing in non-ranked gives you 10 points, and competitive matches that are lost reward your defeat with 15 points.
Quests are focused on gameplay as well, and do not repeat like they did last season. You can also earn points by playing Death Run. A single-player PvE mode in which you pick your weapon and difficulty level. And embark onwards to endless rooms with various enemies and bosses to take out in an effort to get the best score that you can. If your score is at least 20k in this mode, you will be rewarded with 40 points.
How to Participate?
While you don’t need VIP to participate, those who do have VIP get a daily points bonus. Alongside a Day 1 TGE unlock that varies based on your VIP level. You can upgrade VIP up to level 4 in order to increase your airdrop unlock on TGE by up to 10%. VIP memberships can be purchased by logging in to the game’s official website.
