Pirate Nation Launched PVP Event With 10M $PIRATE in Rewards
Pirate Nation, the onchain strategy game developed by Proof of Play, has launched its limited-time PVP event: Legend of the Underlord. The 28-day tournament-style event began at 00:00 UTC on April 15 and will conclude at the same time on May 13. The competition brings major gameplay changes, a revamped rating system, and a prize pool of 10 million $PIRATE tokens available only to the top-ranking players.

Participants will compete for leaderboard positions in real-time PvP combat, with exclusive Anubis-themed skins available to those who emerge as top contenders. Rewards will be distributed without vesting, and each player can only earn a Top 100 reward once during the event, ensuring broader distribution across the community.
Gameplay Rebalances and League Reset
Alongside the event’s launch, the Pirate Nation team rolled out a number of gameplay and systems updates. Notable changes include:
- Major card rebalancing, affecting PvP meta and strategy
- Visible Plunder Rating (MMR), allowing players to track their competitive rank in real time
- League reset, offering all players a fresh start for Season 1 of PvP competition
- Weekly updates, designed to keep matches dynamic and combat systems balanced throughout the month-long event
The Legend of the Underlord event represents Pirate Nation’s most competitive offering to date. With $PIRATE rewards, skill-based leaderboards, and a fixed 28-day window, the event is a key moment in defining what competitive, onchain gaming could look like.
While the tournament is time-limited, the game itself is designed to be a “forever game.” As long as the blockchain infrastructure remains intact. Pirate Nation’s smart contracts will continue to operate autonomously offering players an always-on experience without dependency on centralized servers.
Players can join the event by logging in at piratenation.game. With full rules, rankings, and updates shared via Pirate Nation’s official Twitter and Discord channels.
