Cross The Ages: Blast Closed Playtest Phase 1

Cross The Ages Blast Closed Playtest starts on April 23rd

Web3 trading card game Cross The Ages (CTA) has announced Blast Closed Playtest Phase 1 is starting April 23rd, but you’ll need to qualify earlier if you want to participate.

What’s New in Cross The Ages?

The Blast Closed Playtest Phase 1 unveils new trading card game mechanics for Cross The Ages, significantly transforming the fundamental blockchain gaming experience of this web3 title.

While earlier versions lacked health points (HP), the recent updates introduce health points that each player must reduce to zero in order to secure victory. The new system will replace the previous points system, which relied on 65 points derived from Trinities, and will focus solely on inflicting damage by the end of each turn.

Until now, the Heptagram offered two strengths and two weaknesses. However, this will now streamline the system to one strength and one weakness for each element.

With the arrangement of these attributes modified to facilitate easier access for new players. The system has replaced extended captures through Leader with a single capture by chain. And unlimited hands will not be available in this version, as players will now maintain a maximum of six cards in hand. With the seventh card being discarded.

The aim of this playtest is to provide enjoyment through tactical PvP card gameplay. Where the objective is to reduce your opponent’s HP to zero. This closed build is described as a lightweight version of the game. Encompassing only the essential features to assist developers in testing critical elements while allowing players to offer constructive feedback that will aid the team in crafting an engaging web3 gaming experience.

If you participate in at least one match during this playtest. You will receive an exclusive test card: Palmer – Cult Leader (Standard Version – ID: 1020310007002). The team plans to release an alternative version during a different testing phase in the future.
