Introduction
Superior is a co-op roguelike with shooter elements for PC, currently in Early Access. The game is available for free on the Gala Games platform and for a fee on Steam.
Gameplay
Superior has a third-person perspective, and all the superheroes in it are sinister creatures. In each game session you develop your character as you hunt villains. As you progress, the challenges you have to overcome will also become more difficult.
Each enemy you destroy gives you essences – credits that you can spend on weapons, perks, and extracting superpowers from fallen enemies. You need to choose wisely when choosing to develop your abilities to ensure your strategy is successful.
Each character has its own fighting style due to its abilities, and it is your choice in the skill tree that determines how you will defeat your enemies.
You can participate in battles with your friends and fight with them for positions on the leaderboard.
Characters
Currently, the developers have given us four characters to choose from: Ronin, Mermer, Nomad and Renegade. Each of them has their own unique skills and playstyle, forcing you to be strategic when selecting your lineup before jumping into battle. All characters are available for free, but earnings are tied specifically to NFT characters that are tied to the heroes. Among other things, NFT characters have the following advantages:
– Increased number of skill points to improve your abilities
– Experience multiplier, thanks to which you can level up faster
– Bonus skills
– Increased earning potential
The higher the rarity of the character NFT, the greater the effect of these benefits.
Conclusion
The gameplay of Superior looks quite interesting. The game is in early access, and it already shows potential to become a fully-fledged, good roguelike that won’t be inferior to web2 games.
