Introduction
Decentraland is a sandbox virtual world based on the Ethereum network. It can be called one of the main competitors of The Sandbox with its advantages and disadvantages.

MANA token and NFT LAND

Latest Decentraland update, game development from a completely different perspective
2dcl project funded through a DAO grant from community member frantufro. Also known as the Retro 2D Client, 2dcl was created using Decentraland’s open design and incorporating DCL code to create something similar to Decentraland’s alternate dimension.

The project is still in development, so 2dcl is not currently a copy of Decentraland and does not have all the features of the platform, however Decentraland’s static scenes can be deployed in an alternate world and will be rendered in a pixelated video game style. After downloading the 2dcl client itself, any LAND owner will be able to load the scene of their plots into the 2dcl version and personally view their building in pixel style. 2dcl is an inspiring project with great promise and it will be interesting to see how it develops. It currently serves as a creative example of the capabilities of the Decentraland open protocol.
