ArcheAge 2: Rebirth of the MMO Giant

ArcheAge 2. An MMO that lives up to its expectations

ArcheAge 2 is the revival of that same MMORPG which once competed with industry giants like WoW and Lineage 2. A game with its own original features that captivated players worldwide with its uniqueness. Developers aim to resurrect its former glory and create a new project. Jake Song, a renowned figure behind gaming masterpieces like Lineage and ArcheAge, serves as the executive producer of ArcheAge 2.

Development of the game is in full swing

In his interview, Jake Song mentions that the game will primarily be developed as an open-world Action MMORPG. The developer claims that two versions will be available at launch: for PC and console owners. While there’s no mention of cross-server compatibility, it’s likely to be implemented. According to Jake Song, the main focus of the developers will be on optimizing and calibrating the non-target combat system. He also mentions that the game’s storyline will be extensive and constantly evolving. As the developers are aiming for AAA game status, they are developing it on Unreal Engine 5 to ensure both visual quality and optimization.

    The World of ArcheAge 2

The lore of ArcheAge 2 will be similar to that of ArcheAge, but the storyline will be new and engaging. The narrative in the second installment will focus on the character, whereas in the first game, it revolved around events in the world. The time frame of the game will be the same as in ArcheAge. Additionally, developers aim to improve the trading system and the beloved housing system. They plan to add packs to the former, which were highly appreciated by ArcheAge players, and introduce various customizations to houses in the latter, along with the ability to build entire guild settlements.

    When to Expect?

Currently, there is limited information available about ArcheAge 2, but the only thing we know for sure is that the game won’t be released before 2025. According to financial reports from Kakao Games, the game was pushed to the “after 25” list, leading to the silence surrounding ArcheAge 2. However, one thing is certain: the project will be on the blockchain.
