Star Atlas Summer will kick off on July 28
Star Atlas has officially announced Star Atlas Summer, a month-long campaign running from July 28 to August 27. It will feature a three-part Town Hall series, each tied to a major release, and begins with Community Week, a full week dedicated to honoring players and fans of the space-based MMO.
The official announcement confirms 3 Town Halls across July and August, starting with the first on July 30 at 11 AM PT, followed by events on August 13 and August 27. Each event is set to include major content reveals, though details for the second and third Town Halls remain undisclosed for now.

The Star Atlas Summer event opens with Community Week, running from July 28 to August 1. While no detailed program has been shared yet, this period is framed as a tribute to the Star Atlas community. Players can likely expect social events, dev updates, and community-led activities to take the spotlight.
The first Town Hall on July 30 will also serve as the premiere for the biggest update yet to the Star Atlas arena shooter mode. According to the team, a 3-minute cinematic trailer for the new mode will debut during this session. A shorter teaser is already live on X.
This marks a major moment for the UE5-based combat gameplay, which has grown steadily through previous releases. The new update is expected to enhance the multiplayer experience, though exact features have not been disclosed.
Holosim Launch Shows Early Growth
A major launch last quarter was Holosim, the free to play version of SAGE Starbased. Though it only launched days before the end of the reporting period, Holosim already reached 36% of SAGE’s player base and contributed 12% of total transactions.
The platform offers no in-game rewards or token payouts but still showed rising player activity over time. This suggests it could become a popular starting point for new users and a potential driver for long-term growth.
Fleet rentals continue to expand. By the end of Q2, rented fleets made up 10% of all active fleets in SAGE Starbased. Among the factions, USTUR led with 3.91%, followed by MUD at 2.98% and ONI at 2.21%. Longer rental durations across all factions point to rising player trust in the system.

In the market, xSmall (XS) ships were the top-performing class, seeing a 12% increase in value and the highest trade activity. Ship crafting also played a growing role. Although crafted ships made up just 2.7% of marketplace volume, they contributed nearly 10,000 ATLAS in daily rental output by quarter-end.
With Star Atlas Summer set to begin on July 28, the coming weeks will include new updates, feature rollouts, and community-focused events. The timeline highlights an active period across gameplay, economy, and engagement.
