New Gamified NFT Staking Program in Chumbi Valley
Valley Adventures is Chumbi Valley’s new gamified NFT staking program, now live in Season 1 for Genesis Chumbi NFT holders to enjoy by staking and sending NFTs on various different quests. Where they earn Lucky Stars and potentially more rewards. While spending Lucky Stars on exclusive NFTs in the program’s own shop.
Valley Adventures Program
Valley Adventures is an NFT staking program in which holders of Genesis Chumbi can stake their NFTs to send them on various quests to earn rewards such as Lucky Stars, a non-transferrable currency which can be used to buy exclusive NFTs of varying rarity from the program’s dedicated shop. Quests last real world hours and completing them could also be rewarded with bonus rare NFTs next to the Lucky Stars currency.
This gamified staking system was previously announced back in May this year as the official mini-game for the Chumbi Valley universe. Holders of Genesis Chumbi simply have to connect their MetaMask wallet to the program’s official website linked in the Season 1 announcement. And then stake them in the “My Chumbi” section to make them usable in this gamified experience. Allowing you to start sending them on various adventures on the Polygon network. You can unstake your NFTs at any time as there is no lockup period. As other Polygon-compatible wallets haven’t been officially tested. The team cannot confirm if you’ll run into any issues for now. But full support might be added in the future.
Each quest or adventure has its own story description that ties into a bigger theme. While displaying the guaranteed rewards you can get alongside the chances of accruing other prizes. These quests are available for a limited time, and some are only available to specific types of Chumbi.
Program Details
This first season for the new gamified NFT staking program started on October 2nd and will run for 21 days. During which you can have your Genesis Chumbi embark on various adventures to earn you Lucky Stars and potentially other goodies that you supposedly “won’t be able to obtain in any other way,” according to the Discord announcement.
Genesis Chumbi NFT holders who stake and send their NFTs on adventures could possibly even earn $CHMB tokens. There are 6 prize bags that each contain 2.5 million $CHMB tokens. And you only have a 1% chance of getting one in each adventure. Only one bag can be won by one wallet address, so if you’re lucky enough to get 2.5 million tokens (valued around ~$520 at the time of writing). Then you will be able to claim your token-packed bag at the end of the season. While $CHMB tokens do not have a use case for this season. The official guide teases that future seasons could add some token utility.
