New Update Introduces Crafting System to The Desolation
The first part of the update of the co-op shooter The Desolation has been released, which features the creation of NFT weapons, new platinum currency, and much more.
Crafting System Details
To create an NFT, at the moment you will need: in-game crafting resources, a new premium currency called Platinum, Workshop NFT, Workstation NFT, Transformer NFT and a set of blueprints (Weapon Set # Blueprint).
Players will be able to purchase the Workshop, Workstation, and Transformer NFTs in the upcoming Requisition Box sale starting August 14th at Open Loot. Transformer NFTs also have a rare drop chance during gameplay. Playing with NFTs will give you the chance of a lucky draw. NFTs will also allow you to earn Platinum, with a daily Platinum drop limit of 150 and a Transformer NFT weekly drop limit of 1.
There may be several Workstations in the Workshop, but for now only Workstations of uncommon quality will be available, allowing players to create weapons of any rarity. However, the situation will change later when the second part of this big update comes out. When this happens, higher rarity Workstations will appear. NFT Utility
The Workshop is what opens up a new crafting room on the ship. The Workstation determines what you can craft, and the Transformer NFT is what you need to craft a specific type of equipment. For now, only weapon workstations and weapon transformers will be available. At the moment there is only one blueprint called Weapon Set #1. Defeating seasonal bosses is rewarded with this blueprint. You will also need platinum to start the crafting process. It can also be used to speed up the time required to create an NFT. You can get Platinum by purchasing it through Open Loot or finding it in loot boxes.
The currently available blueprint allows you to create 4 different weapons belonging to the Viper Edition weapon set. All weapons from this set have a special perk “Viper Strike”, which allows you to deal critical damage with poison.
The Desolation is available to play on PC for players who purchased the Founders Pack or won it in a giveaway. According to a new roadmap released in May.
