The Sandbox Teams Up with Otherworld for Solo Leveling Event
Take part in the ongoing event in The Sandbox – Otherworld: Solo Leveling. Players have three unique scenarios to explore, complete quests and receive rewards from a pool of $50,000 SAND for avatar owners and $15,000 SAND open to everyone. The event will last until August 23.
How to Participate?
Players can begin their adventure in any of three exciting scenarios. Here’s a quick overview of each:
Solo Leveling—Unlimited: Collect Essence Stone to unlock exclusive NFTs in this exciting adventure.
Otherworld ‘Official’: this scenario will allow you to get acquainted with 23 manhwa and web novel titles. Select “Experience Mode” to complete quests or “Game Mode” to play Tower Defense mode.
Second Life Ranker XP: Immerse yourself in the world of the popular manhwa title Second Life Ranker. This scenario immerses players in a special adventure, making it feel like you are part of the story.
Exclusive Avatars
In collaboration with Otherworld, The Sandbox has released a limited edition avatar inspired by the Solo Leveling universe. Song Jin Woo’s avatar conveys the heroism and fighting spirit of the main character. There are 1,560 voxel avatars available, each representing a different aspect of Song Jin-Woo. Fans will be able to impersonate their favorite character and enjoy a unique gaming experience.
What is Otherworld?
Otherworld is a social Web3 platform that allows developers to create or integrate social applications. It leverages IP’s from leading entertainment firms to create a decentralized universe of content.
Otherworld has exclusive Web3 rights to 26 web novel titles, including hits such as Solo Leveling and Second Life Ranker. They also collaborate with K-pop artists through Cube Entertainment.
The Sandbox and Otherworld announced their strategic partnership back in March 2024. This partnership aims to create a web novel hub in the metaverse, offering a wide range of experiences based on KakaoPage’s popular franchises. The first title included in The Sandbox is Solo Leveling. This manhwa dives into the life of the main character Song Jin Woo and his adventures. Soon after this, such popular titles as Second Life Ranker, Tomb Raider King and Spirit King Elqueeness will appear.
Solo Leveling Universe
The Solo Leveling universe continues to expand. An anime adaptation aired from January to March 2024, and a second season was announced. A Korean drama adaptation and webtoon spin-off “Solo Leveling: Ragnarok” is in development and will premiere on August 1st. Netmarble also released a role-playing video game.
