Champions Tactics New Details for Closed Beta and NFT Sale

What is Champions Tactics
It’s no secret that Ubisoft has been experimenting with NFTs and blockchain technology. From its early Ghost Recon NFTs to releasing NFTs based on its quirky Rabbids IP and Assassin’s Creed “smart collectibles,” Ubisoft has continued to explore blockchain gaming. And now, there’s Champions Tactics.
Champions Tactics is a new PvP tactical RPG developed by Ubisoft. In the game you have to assemble a team of Champions, each with their unique abilities and characteristics. These Champions, drawn from the rich lore of Grimoria, range from mighty warriors to dangerous sorcerers, and each brings a unique set of skills to your team.
The developers built the game using the Oasys blockchain. Oasys is a gaming-focused blockchain that has gained popularity among established video game companies such as Sega, Bandai Namco, Com2uS, and others.
NFT’s in Champions Tactics
In the game Champions play a crucial role in making the gameplay experience. Every champion possesses its own characteristics, genes, and abilities that they can use in combat. Knowing how to strategically employ these features is crucial for defeating enemies and achieving victories.
Ubisoft released the Warlords collection as a free Ethereum NFT mint in December 2023. The NFTs, which depict pixelated fantasy characters, were all claimed within about 20 minutes.
And now Warlord Holders can mint up to 5 Champions per Warlord starting July 15th. Dark List Members can mint up to 3 Champions per wallet starting July 18th.
In response to dropping details of the mint, the floor price of The Warlords jumped 57% to $300. They cap the total supply of Champions at 75,000 and distribute them as follows:
- Warlord Holders: 50,000
- Dark List Members: 24,000
- Reserve: 1,000
In preparation for the launch, the Japanese gaming blockchain Oasys, the platform where Champions Tactics is planned to be deployed. Has initiated a staking initiative in collaboration with Ubisoft. This initiative enables individuals who invest at least 1,000 OAS tokens ($50) to gain access to double jump.tokyo or Ubisoft’s validator nodes on the Oasys chain. In addition to completing various social tasks, to be allow-listed for a free mint of a Champions Tactics NFT.
Closed Beta Access
Players will get access to a catalog of Ethereal Champions, allowing them to delve into the game’s features, genetic makeup, and skill systems. This stage is essential for evaluating and improving the game prior to its official release.
To participate in the beta test starting July 4th, gamers must complete a questionnaire accessible through the Champions Tactics Discord group. This chance is primarily for those who own Warlord items, as they will have the privilege of playing the game first and offer important insights.
