Developers of Shardbound – free-to-play strategic card-based game have announced that the open beta version of the game goes live on June 27th on the Epic Games Store. Allowing anyone to jump in and enjoy turn-based tactical gameplay across beautiful hexagonal 3D battlefields for free. While completing quests in Battle Passes to earn faction cards.
Beta New Features
The update also features new card and pack options, enhanced illustrations for Characters, Spells, Relics, and Gear. Along with numerous improvements in gameplay, matchmaking, and user interface/user experience to enhance the game’s accessibility and enjoyment. Additionally, adjustments have been applied to the power levels of all decks to achieve a more equitable balance.
In addition to these improvements, gamers will have the opportunity to advance by participating in Faction Battle Passes. Which include a range of diverse quests that need to be finished to collect faction cards. There will be quests available daily, weekly, and on a periodic basis. Allowing you to gain experience points (XP) to progress to higher levels in the Battle Pass. This progression unlocks new cards and Royal Marks. Royal Marks can then be used to purchase cards from the in-game shop.
Over time, it’s common to accumulate multiple copies of the same card. This is when the Card Upgrades feature becomes useful. Enabling you to utilize these duplicates to enhance your card’s abilities, such as increasing its health, attack, or spell power stats. For now, these are the specifics that are known.
You have the option to sign up before the game’s official launch on the game’s website through email or Immutable Passport. Which is rumored to provide immediate access to the cryptocurrency game upon its release. By signing up early, you’ll secure a unique playable card during the game’s public beta week.
