New Expansion in Gods Unchained is Coming Soon

Get Ready for a New Horror-Themed Expansion in Gods Unchained

Gods Unchained, a popular web3 trading card game on Immutable X, will release its latest expansion, Tower of Dread, on October 10th. This upcoming expansion brings a lot of exciting features, including seven 1/1 Mythic variants and seven new Legendary cards, all packed in a 40-card expansion pack.

    About the Expansion

Tower of Dread brings players into a dark, ominous world. This set not only builds upon the intense storyline of Gods Unchained but also brings a wealth of new strategies. Set against the backdrop of the largest battle between the Band of the Wolf and the formidable Thaeriel, the new expansion offers rich lore and gameplay depth as players work to drive Thaeriel out of Faenar.

What’s exciting about this expansion is how it connects to Immutable’s broader gaming world. Thaeriel’s defeat marks a key moment in Gods Unchained, as the studio plans for the character to reappear in Guild of Guardians (GoG), another popular title. This marks the start of full interoperability between these two worlds, showcasing the future of cross-platform web3 gaming.

    New Mechanics and Features

Main feature of this expansion is the introduction of Dread Points. Players can now destroy their cards to collect these points. Which can be redeemed for up to 35% off on Tower of Dread packs. This adds a layer of strategic depth, where players must think carefully about how and when to sacrifice their cards.

As with previous expansions, Tower of Dread brings a wealth of new visual elements. From haunting new artwork to thematic additions like the Ronellan Ballroom and Enchanted Grove boards. Every aspect of the game weaves in the gothic horror theme.

On top of that, players can collect two new trinkets—the Dread Portal and the Dread Automabunn.

The Tower of Dread expansion officially goes live on October 10th. And players can buy packs ranging from $1.99 for Booster packs to $19.99 for Premium packs and $199.99 for Shiny packs.
