The end of the season in Nyan Heroes is on May 27 at 13:00 UTC
As the article title indicates, the Nyan Heroes season is coming to a logical conclusion. The developers have decided to announce additional rewards at the end of the season and provide information about the future of the game, its issues, and its economic aspects.
End of Season Rewards Announcement
We introduced you to the ranking system and rank distribution in the previous article. Now, those who have been grinding the so-called “Elo” or MMR will be rewarded. And, we must say, with quite decent amounts:
All these rewards will be in Cat Nip, which you have been earning throughout the second season. A nice move, but somewhat controversial.
- Firstly, not announcing the ladder rewards is strange, but it could have been assumed that something would be given for the ladder. Perhaps the developers wanted to get rid of cheaters throughout the season, but at most, this only reduced their number. According to observations from the Nyan Heroes chat, cheaters were quite frequently mentioned. From personal experience, it’s hard to believe there’s a “Sniper” who can take down 4 little kittens in 4 seconds.
- Secondly, not all players like the point allocation system in the game, and the matchmaking is unfair and ruthless. How can you be placed in a game where the opponents already have 1 win. And you’re thrown into a team where 2 out of 5 people are AFK? Or the start of a game when 2 people on your team didn’t load in, and you begin the game 4 against 6. A very poor approach to this aspect of the game. The only way to play and raise your rating was to play in a pack of 6 people. Even then, how enjoyable is it to win 4 games for 10-15 points each and lose one game for -45 because of a cheater? Also, when you play alone, there’s a chance you’ll face a team of 6 (fun, right?).
- The anti-cheat in the game seems to be completely absent. Every other game, or even more frequently, you play against a “non-human” who knows everything, sees everything, and is basically Legolas, with a miss being unthinkable for him.
But, as they say, “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” and the Nyan Heroes developers will eventually make the game as they envision it.
Future Plans for the Game
The developers also shared information about the future of the game and what to expect. Overall, the information is “general.” I would even say they just filled it with fluff, diluted with graphs and explanations of the currency’s usage.
The only truly interesting part of the article was the graphs. Until now, we had no understanding of what we would be doing in the game. But now the developers have shared information, and we at least have a general picture of the game’s economy. Now we will know what the token will be used for and that playing the game, we will not just play, but earn something.
The end of the season in Nyan Heroes suggests that the game is developing and the developers are not planning to stop. We hope that by the next season, the developers will solve the issues that greatly spoil the gaming experience.
